Gay Ad Network Privacy Policy
Company Practices
The following statement describes the overall company practices of Gay Ad Network, including advertising on our network of websites, and products and services that are offered by Gay Ad Network. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Gay Ad Network does not own or control, or to people that Gay Ad Network does not employ.
Non-Personally Identifiable Consumer Data
Gay Ad Network delivers advertisements across multiple channels and media outlets. With respect to individuals who visit Gay Ad Network partners sites, we, and/or one or more of our third-party advertising technology vendors, may collect what is known as “Click Stream Data.” Click Stream Data is anonymous, and includes information such as a user’s IP address, web pages which have been viewed by a user, date and time, domain type, and responses by a users to an advertisement delivered by us or a third party advertising technology vendor. We, and/or a third party advertising technology vendor, may use different types of technologies to collect this type of information, including cookies and web beacons (1×1 pixels).
How Collected Information is Used
Gay Ad Network uses the AppNexus platform for advertising services and to manage user data. The non-personally identifiable data that Gay Ad Network and/or its third party advertising technology vendors collect are used to better target advertisements to people across the different websites and apps they visit. The data are also used to predict responses to advertisements, and to help determine which ads perform best and which content is most appropriate for different individuals. If a consumer elects to provide Gay Ad Network with personally identifiable data, we may utilize such data for marketing purposes. In addition, that data may be combined with information collected from other sources to assist with targeting ads to that consumer’s preferences and behaviors, and for other Gay Ad Network sales and marketing efforts.
Your Opt-Out Choices
There are many ways to opt-out of receiving targeted advertising. Note that different devices use different identifiers and different technologies, so that you must opt-out from each browser and each device that you would like to be opted out. If you opt-out of targeted advertising, we will no longer collect User Information described above from your device.

Please note that these opt-outs operate by placing a cookie on your device that is unique to the browser and device you use to opt-out. They may not function properly if you have configured your browser to reject certain cookies. If you change browsers or computers, or delete the cookies on your computer, you will need to opt-out again. You also can set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being set and to block most cookies, including ours.
Mobile Opt-Out
Your device may give you the ability to opt-out of the use of information about the apps you use in order to serve you ads that are targeted to your interests (“Opt out of Interest-Based Ads” or “Opt out of Ads Personalization” on Android devices or “Limit Ad Tracking” on iOS devices). You may stop the collection of location information by particular apps or from your device as a whole at any time by changing the preferences on your mobile device.
Personally Identifiable Consumer Data
Gay Ad Network uses ad serving technology from AppNexus. Personal information is collected from Gay Ad Network publishers to establish a business account, but never from website users or mobile app users. Publishers should refer to the AppNexus Privacy Policy for more information.
Sharing With Third Parties
All personally identifiable data provided by individuals is maintained in confidence by Gay Ad Network. The non-personally identifiable data may be shared with third-party partners of Gay Ad Network on an anonymous basis. In addition to the above, there is also the possibility that Gay Ad Network, or part(s) of the company, may one day be purchased by, or merged with, another company. If that’s the case, the acquiring (or merging) company will have access to publisher information. Finally, Gay Ad Network may share information on individuals as it deems necessary to comply with a court order or to cooperate with government and law enforcement officials.
Third-Party Advertising Technology Vendors
Gay Ad Network also works with various third party advertising technology vendors. Although the majority of the online advertisements on Gay Ad Network sites are displayed by Gay Ad Network, we also allow third-party ad serving companies, including other ad networks, to display advertisements. These companies may include, but are not limited to: AppNexus, Rubicon, DataXu, TheTradeDeck, Quantcast, Google/DoubleClick/AdSense, MediaMath and other networks and programmatic buying agencies. These vendors may also use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect Click Stream Data. These companies may offer you a way to opt-out of ad targeting based on their cookies, and some of them are also members of the Network Advertising Initiative. You may opt-out of these vendor targeting tools by visiting NAI Opt Out.
Security Precautions
Gay Ad Network and it’s advertising technology partners make significant efforts to maintain the security of its network and the data we collect. We use various technologies, including, in certain instances, encryption, to ensure the high security standards. Any data that is stored on Gay Ad Network’s servers is treated as confidential and is not generally available to the public. Gay Ad Network has an internal security policy with respect to the confidentiality of customer and other data, limiting access only to those employees who we reasonably believe need to know such information for the purpose of performing their jobs. Please keep in mind, however, that the Internet is not a 100% secure medium. Therefore, although we use reasonable efforts to protect information, the possibility of somebody defeating our security measures does exist.
EU GDPR Guidelines
European Union users understand and consent to the processing of personal information in the United States. AppNexus provides our ad management services. Appnexus has made the necessary steps to be in compliance with the relevant GDPR guidelines, specifically in terms of data security and user privacy. Cookies are set upon ad viewing. Cookie data is matched against unique identifiers referred to in the GDPR as “pseudonymized data”. The GDPR explicitly recognizes “pseudonymization” as good practice in protecting the interests of individuals, precisely because this practice makes it difficult, and sometimes impossible, to recognize who users are “in the real world”. All personal data used is pseudonymous data and AppNexus also further pseudonymizes personal data collected and used by the Platform by logically separating and storing pseudonymous identifiers and information (cookie IDs, mobile advertising IDs and IP addresses) separate from other impression-level data.
Changes to Our Privacy Policy
The issue of privacy is an evolving one. Gay Ad Network is committed to the constant monitoring and examination of its privacy practices, and may, from time to time, institute changes to its Privacy Policy. In the event that any material changes are made to the company’s privacy practices, we will promptly make changes to this privacy policy that discloses the changes.
Effective Date
This Privacy Policy has been in effect since February 22, 2010. Updated May 7, 2018.
